QUALIFICATION B.E. / B.Tech – Electrical
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Implement the project quality plan; prepare and follow ITPs and inspection checklists for all electrical
activities on the CtrlS mission-critical facility.
• Carry out incoming material inspection (MIR) – verify make, rating, test certificates and compliance with
approved datasheets.
• Inspect installation stages – cable tray/conduit, cable laying and termination, busduct, panels, earthing,
lighting – against approved drawings and standards.
• Conduct or witness pre-commissioning tests (IR/megger, continuity, earth resistance, HV, relay/protection
checks) and prepare test reports and certificates.
• Raise NCRs and punch lists, follow up closure with the site team and record corrective/preventive actions.
• Coordinate client and third-party inspections; deal independently with client QA/QC representatives;
compile quality records and handover dossiers.
• Maintain test-instrument calibration records; conduct quality toolbox talks for site teams.
KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
• Electrical installation inspection and QC (LT/HT, cabling, panels, earthing)
• Testing and pre-commissioning – megger/IR, continuity, earth resistance, HV test, relay checks
• ITP / QAP / checklist preparation; NCR and punch-list management
• Knowledge of IS / IEC standards and CEA safety regulations (e.g., IS 732, IS 3043)
• Project item knowledge – transformer, DG, cable & termination, busduct, cable tray, conduit, lights,
switch-socket & accessories
• Drawing reading (SLD, layouts, cable schedules) and billing-drawing study
• MS Excel / ERP reporting; independent client dealing and clear communication
