 Job Description of Production Engineer – Control Panel Division

Production & Shop Floor Management

  1. Supervise and manage manufacturing operations for PLC, MCC, PCC, and other industrial control panels.
  2. Ensure production activities are executed in accordance with approved electrical drawings, specifications, and project timelines.
  3. Monitor daily shop floor operations, including manpower utilization and productivity.
  4. Ensure strict adherence to company manufacturing standards and safety procedures.

Production Planning & Coordination

  1. Develop and implement production schedules aligned with project timelines.
  2. Coordinate with procurement and stores to ensure timely availability of electrical components and materials.
  3. Track production progress to ensure on-time order completion.
  4. Support project execution by aligning production activities with overall project schedules.

Coordination & Reporting

  1. Collaborate closely with the Design Team, Project Manager, Sales Back Office, and Stores Department to ensure smooth execution of manufacturing processes.
  2. Facilitate effective inter-departmental communication to ensure timely availability of drawings, materials, and technical specifications.
  3. Provide regular updates and progress reports to management, highlighting production status, timelines, and any operational challenges.
  4. Ensure strong cross-functional coordination to achieve on-time delivery and successful project completion.

Quality Assurance & Testing

  1. Ensure manufacturing quality in compliance with industry standards and internal quality guidelines.
  2. Supervise panel wiring verification, inspection, and testing activities.

In the absence of a Store In charge

  1. Update Bill of Materials (BOM) and work orders based on actual material consumption (e.g., lugs, ferrule sleeves, busbars, PVC ducts, etc.).
  2. Conduct monthly stock verification of consumables and report details to the Accounts Department for Sales JV purposes.
  3. Issue materials to electricians and helpers during production and dispatch activities.
  4. Perform monthly stock counting and maintain accurate inventory records.
  5. Assist in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and ensure compliance with project specifications.
  6. Maintain proper quality documentation and testing reports.

Team Leadership

  1. Lead and supervise electricians, and panel assembly teams.
  2. Provide technical guidance for panel assembly, wiring, and troubleshooting.
  3. Ensure team compliance with safety standards and quality practices.

Dispatch & Documentation

  1. Ensure proper labeling, packing, and readiness of panels for dispatch.
  2. Maintain comprehensive production records, testing reports, and documentation for project tracking and audits.
