Assistant Manager (Design)(Kushkhera)
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and modify 2D/3D product designs and engineering drawings.
Prepare detailed manufacturing drawings, BOMs and specifications.
Work on new product development and existing product modifications.
Coordinate with Production, Quality, Purchase and Tool Room teams for design feasibility.
Ensure designs meet customer requirements, quality standards and manufacturing feasibility.
Perform design calculations, tolerance analysis and material selection.
Review drawings and ensure proper GD&T, dimensions and tolerances.
Identify opportunities for design optimization, cost reduction and process improvement.
Support prototype development, testing and validation.
Handle engineering change requests and maintain design documentation.
Coordinate with customers/vendors for technical clarifications wherever required.
Ensure proper documentation of drawings, BOMs and revision history.
Guide junior design engineers and monitor their work.
Required Qualification:
B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Production Engineering.
Technical Skills:
AutoCAD
SolidWorks / Creo / CATIA
2D & 3D modelling
GD&T
Engineering drawing
Sheet metal / metal component design
BOM & drawing preparation
DFM/DFA
