Job Summary
The Assistant General Manager (AGM) helps direct day-to-day business operations, maintain service or production standards, and support the leadership team. The AGM bridges the gap between frontline employees and senior management.
Key Responsibilities
- Operations Oversight: Monitor daily workflows, enforce company policies, and ensure smooth interdepartmental communication.
- Staff Management: Assist with hiring, onboarding, scheduling, training, coaching, and conducting performance evaluations.
- Financial & Cost Control: Help manage budgets, track key performance indicators (KPIs), oversee inventory, and control supply or labor costs.
- Customer & Client Relations: Handle high-level customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and ensure high satisfaction scores.
- Compliance & Safety: Maintain a safe workplace and ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Proven experience in a supervisory or assistant management role (typically 2+ years depending on the industry like hospitality, retail, or corporate).
- Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving, communication, time management, and basic financial or budgeting acumen
