Job Description:
An Assistant Engineer supports senior engineering teams with the design, testing, troubleshooting, and daily operations of technical projects or infrastructure.
Core Responsibilities
- Project Support: Assist senior engineers with system design, data analysis, research, and site or facility inspections.
- Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Help schedule and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment, machinery, or infrastructure.
- Technical Documentation: Prepare engineering reports, technical drawings, specifications, and CAD models using tools like AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Fusion 360.
- Quality & Safety Compliance: Ensure work processes follow industry standards, safety guidelines, and environmental or plant regulations.
- Inventory & Budget: Track project expenses, manage spare parts inventory, and assist with material procurement.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (such as Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Telecommunications/B.E./B.Tech) or a related technical discipline.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with CAD and design software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Fusion 360), data analysis, and technical report writing.
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, communication, teamwork, and attention to detail.
- Experience: Often an entry-level or early-career role (0–3+ years), though government or specialized tracks may require specific competitive exams or technical certifications.
