Job Description:
An Assistant Manager acts as the bridge between senior leadership and frontline staff, supporting daily business operations and team performance. You can use the or the to build a custom posting.
Role Overview
- Reports to: Store Manager, General Manager, or Department Head
- Primary Purpose: Assist upper management in running day-to-day operations, supervising staff, and stepping in as lead when the manager is away.
Key Responsibilities
- Staff Supervision & Training: Onboard new hires, schedule shifts, track attendance, and mentor team members.
- Operations Management: Maintain workflow, enforce company policies, monitor daily output, and resolve shift-level issues.
- Performance & Reporting: Track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), assist with performance reviews, and report metrics to upper management.
- Customer Service & Problem Solving: Handle customer complaints, manage escalations, and maintain a high standard of service.
- Inventory & Administration: Monitor stock levels, handle vendor or delivery coordination, and assist with budget tracking.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field (or equivalent operational experience).
- Experience: 2 to 3 years of supervisory or leadership experience in a relevant industry.
- Skills: Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, time management, and basic financial or computer literacy.
