Job Description:
Core Job Responsibilities
- Product Design & Engineering: Design active parts, magnetic cores, winding ratios, insulation systems, and housing structures for medium-voltage CTs and VTs.
- Standards Compliance: Ensure all designs comply with international electrical standards such as IEEE, IEC, and ANSI.
- Electrical & Thermal Analysis: Perform calculations and simulations for dielectric strength, magnetic flux, short-circuit forces, thermal limits, and burden accuracy.
- Documentation & BOMs: Create detailed engineering drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), wiring diagrams, and shop-floor manufacturing instructions.
- Testing & Verification: Develop routine, type, and special test procedures (accuracy class verification, high-potential/hipot tests, partial discharge tests) and write performance validation reports.
- Cross-Functional Support: Work closely with production, quality assurance, sourcing, and sales/application engineering teams to transition prototypes into full-scale manufacturing.
- Customer & Vendor Interaction: Support technical reviews, address Request for Quotations (RFQs), and consult with clients on custom magnetic and switchgear integration requirements.
