HOUSEKEEPING SUPERVISOR FOR COAL WASHERY - SUNDARGARH , ODISHA

• Role Type: Full-time / Supervisory / Operational

• Primary Objective: Ensure high standards of cleanliness, safety, and guest or patient satisfaction while managing team performance.

• Reports To: Housekeeping Manager or Facility Director

• Direct Reports: Housekeeping Attendants, Floor Cleaners, and Public Area Cleaners 

• Staff Scheduling & Coordination: Create daily or weekly rosters, assign cleaning tasks, and cover shifts during absences or high-occupancy periods. 

• Quality Inspections: Conduct routine checks of guest rooms, lobbies, corridors, and back-of-house areas to verify compliance with brand or organizational SOPs. 

• Training & Coaching: Provide onboarding, safety briefings, and hands-on guidance on chemical handling, equipment operation, and bed-making protocols.

• Inventory & Supplies: Monitor stock levels of linens, cleaning agents, and guest amenities; submit requisitions and manage equipment repairs. 

• Issue & Complaint Resolution: Address cleaning or maintenance complaints from guests or staff promptly, escalating facility repairs to the maintenance department. 

• Safety & Compliance: Enforce local health, fire safety, sanitation, and OSHA/workplace safety regulations. 

• Experience: Prior hands-on experience as a Housekeeper, Cleaner, or Janitor, ideally with previous leadership or coordinator experience in hospitality or healthcare. 

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; a degree or certification in hospitality management or environmental services is a plus.

• Technical Skills: Knowledge of commercial cleaning chemicals, dilution ratios, infection control, and industrial equipment (buffers, extractors). 

• Soft Skills: Strong delegation, time management, verbal/written communication, conflict resolution, and physical stamina.
