QC Engineer - POR (Vadodara)

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

• Perform incoming material inspection and verify certificates against approved specifications.
• Check material identification, heat numbers, dimensions, thickness and traceability.
• Inspect cutting, edge preparation, fit-up, welding and dimensional tolerances.
• Verify welder identification, WPS applicability and welding consumables control.
• Coordinate RT, UT, MT and PT in accordance with the approved ITP and applicable code requirements.
• Inspect vessel nozzles, flanges, supports, skid frames, equipment supports and lifting attachments against approved drawings and project requirements.
• Witness hydrostatic and other specified pressure/functional tests using approved procedures.
• Maintain inspection reports, weld maps, traceability records, NDT reports and test records.
• Prepare punch lists and non-conformance reports and track corrective actions.
• Verify final painting/coating, preservation, identification plates and equipment marking requirements.
• Compile manufacturing quality records for review by the Senior QC Engineer.
