 Automation Engineer

 Position: Automation Engineer – Siemens PLC & Press Shop Maintenance

 Location: Waluj MIDC, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, Maharashtra

Job Overview

Paradise Placement Consultancy is hiring an Automation Engineer for a manufacturing/automotive press shop. The candidate will be responsible for managing Siemens PLC-based automation systems, troubleshooting electrical and automation breakdowns, and maintaining press shop machinery to ensure smooth and efficient plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. PLC & Automation Management

• Develop, modify, troubleshoot, and maintain Siemens PLC programs (S7-1200 / S7-1500).

• Handle HMI/SCADA systems and automation-related activities.

2. Press Shop Maintenance

• Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of stamping presses.

• Handle electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic maintenance of press shop equipment.

• Maintain automated press-line equipment.

3. System Optimization

• Improve machine cycle time and production efficiency.

• Ensure proper functioning of safety interlocks.

• Optimize press machinery and plant automation systems.

4. Spare Parts & Vendor Management

• Coordinate with vendors for critical electrical and automation spare parts.

• Maintain spare parts inventory to minimize machine downtime.

5. Breakdown & Root Cause Analysis

• Attend electrical and PLC-related machine breakdowns.

• Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA).

• Implement permanent corrective and preventive actions.

6. Siemens Automation Knowledge

• Hands-on experience with TIA Portal, Simatic Manager, WinCC Flexible, and Siemens hardware.

7. Press Shop Operations

• Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical press operations.

• Understanding of die cushions and sheet metal feeding automation.

Eligibility Criteria

• Qualification: BE / B.Tech or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.

• Experience: 1–3 years in manufacturing / automotive press shop automation.

• Industry Preference: Automotive or manufacturing industry.

• Technical Skills: Siemens PLC, HMI/SCADA, electrical maintenance, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
