Officer / Executive - Purchase
Job Description:
Roles & Responsibilities
1. Handle day-to-day purchase activities, including procurement of raw materials, packing materials, chemicals, consumables, engineering spares and other requirements.
2. Prepare and process Purchase Requisitions (PR) and Purchase Orders (PO) through Chaintanya ERP Software.
3. Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for quotations, price negotiations, order placement and timely material delivery.
4. Compare vendor quotations and prepare comparative statements for price, quality and delivery terms.
5. Maintain vendor database, supplier records, purchase history and approved vendor lists in ERP.
6. Follow up with suppliers for pending orders, delivery schedules and material dispatch.
7. Coordinate with Stores, Production, QC, Accounts and other departments for material requirements and procurement planning.
8. Ensure timely availability of raw materials and other required materials to avoid production delays.
9. Verify purchase invoices, delivery challans, bills and supporting documents.
10. Maintain proper documentation of purchase orders, quotations, invoices and other procurement records in ERP.
11. Monitor material rates, market trends and identify cost-saving opportunities.
12. Handle vendor development, new supplier identification and supplier performance evaluation.
13. Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, quality standards and applicable regulatory requirements.
