Hiring QA Engineer (Manual Testing) for technology-driven Fintech startup

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced QA Engineer – Manual Testing with 2-3 years of hands-on experience in software quality assurance. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of manual testing methodologies, test case design, defect management and software testing life cycles to ensure the quality, reliability and functionality of applications.

Key Responsibilities
 Analyze business requirements and technical specifications to understand testing requirements.
 Prepare and execute test plans, test scenarios and detailed test cases.
 Perform manual testing, including functional, regression, smoke, sanity, integration and exploratory testing.
 Identify, document, track and retest defects using defect-tracking tools such as Jira.
 Perform API testing using Postman or similar tools.
 Conduct cross-browser and cross-platform testing as required.
 Validate application functionality, usability and business workflows.
 Collaborate with developers, business analysts and other team members to resolve issues.
 Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups and sprint reviews.
 Maintain test documentation and prepare test execution and defect reports.
 Ensure applications meet quality standards before release.
 Contribute to improving testing processes and overall product quality.

Required Skills

 4–6 years of experience in software quality assurance and manual testing.
 Strong hands-on experience in manual testing of web-based applications.
 Good understanding of SDLC, STLC and the defect life cycle.
 Experience in functional, regression, smoke, sanity, integration and exploratory testing.
 Proficiency in writing test cases, test scenarios and test plans.
 Experience with defect-tracking tools such as Jira.
 Knowledge of API testing using Postman.
 Basic understanding of SQL and database testing.
 Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
 Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and documentation skills.
 Ability to identify edge cases and ensure comprehensive test coverage.

Preferred Qualifications
 Experience in end-to-end testing of web applications.
 Familiarity with test management tools and bug-tracking processes.
 Basic knowledge of automation testing concepts is an advantage but not mandatory.
 Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.
 Experience working in a fast-paced IT environment.

Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.

Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate should have 2-3 years of practical experience in manual software testing, strong attention to detail and the ability to identify and report defects effectively. The candidate should be comfortable working from the Ahmedabad office and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software products.

Note: Candidates with strong hands-on manual testing experience are preferred. Immediate
joiners will be given preference.

Office Hours/ Shift Timings: 10 AM to 7 PM

Working Days: 6 days (Alternate Saturday Off)
