Sr. Purchase Engineer (Sevasi)

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end procurement of electrical and project-related materials for EPC projects.
• Prepare, process, and release Purchase Orders (POs) as per approved requirements.
• Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable vendors and suppliers.
• Obtain vendor quotations, negotiate commercial terms, and prepare Comparative Statements (CS).
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
• Coordinate with Project, Design, Stores, and Accounts departments to ensure timely material procurement.
• Ensure timely delivery of materials at project sites as per project schedules.
• Follow up with vendors regarding order confirmations, dispatches, and pending deliveries.
• Maintain purchase records, vendor databases, quotation files, and procurement reports.
• Verify material specifications, quality standards, and approved technical documents before placing orders.
• Monitor procurement costs and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
• Coordinate with the Accounts Department for vendor bills, payments, and outstanding balances.
• Resolve vendor-related issues, material shortages, and delivery delays.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and approval procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Good knowledge of EPC procurement and purchasing processes.
• Experience in purchasing electrical and project-related materials.
• Strong vendor management, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of quotation analysis, Comparative Statements (CS), and Purchase Order (PO) processing.
• Good coordination and follow-up skills.
• Ability to manage multiple procurement activities efficiently.
