MINING MATE
Job Description:
Mining Mate Certificate Subject to orders of superior officials, he shall have responsible charge and control of the district of the mine assigned to him by the manager or the assistant manager or underground manager. (b) He shall take reasonable means to ensure the proper observance of the requirements of the Act and of the regulations, and orders made there under by persons under his charge and shall, as soon as practicable, report any contravention thereof to his superior official. (2)(a) He shall make such inspection and reports as are required by these regulations, and in making such examination, he shall pay particular attention to edges of the goaf, if any, for checking supports. (b) Except in the case of a mine working in a continuous succession of shifts, he shall, on completion of the first inspection of the district, proceed to the station appointed under regulation 116 and instruct all persons as to their places of work and as to any special precautions necessary to be observed by them. (c) If he finds any person in a place other than the one assigned to him, he may order such person out of the mine, and shall forthwith report the matter to his superior official.
He will be responsible for close supervision of Mining Operations i.e. Loading, Transportation, Dozing / crushing / dumping of overburden. He will be responsible safety of all Heavy Equipments and operators working under his control during shift operation. He will be responsible for allocation of job to operators working under his direct control. He will ensure that all pumps are working well as per planning.

- He will take immediate corrective action required in field for safety of people and quality of Limestone dispatch to plant during his shift.
- He will take round of entire pit / crusher / dump yard, haul roads after allocation of job at least twice in shift.
- He will direct report to shift in charge/ Foreman / Assistant Manager.
