Chartered Accountant- Direct and Indirect Tax

Job Description:

Direct Taxation:

• Ensure compliance with Direct Tax laws such as filing of periodical tax returns, replies/ submissions to enquiries from the tax department & issuance of Withholding Tax Certificate
• Review of computation of Advance tax, monthly provision of Income Tax, examine adjustment of important tax issues in declaration of corporate income tax
• Manage relationship with tax authority and help to settle the arguments and to acquire tax incentives where appropriate

• Review existing processes and documents for tax compliance including detailed transfer pricing documentation for domestic and cross-border transactions and suggest improvements

Planning and Projects:

• Support in planning and projects work, including (but not limited to) tax due diligence of potential acquisition targets, intra-group domestic and cross-border charges, transfer pricing documentation and individual tax planning
• Support in new investment, (i) on the preferred investment entity and structure and, contract structure. (ii) assess and advise on the tax implications of alternatives on direct and indirect taxation matters, (iii) participate in the review/drafting of the tax clauses in contracts.
• Provide support in considering optimized legal structure from commercial and strategic perspective

• Monitor developments in direct and indirect tax legislation and rulings. 

Indirect Taxation:

• Have good working knowledge of Indirect Taxation

• Ensure compliance with requirements of Indirect Tax Laws, GST VAT, Service Tax and Excise returns are filed on timely basis

The Successful Applicant

Your will be CA Qualified around 5 to 8 years of experience. You must be well versed in Direct and Indirect Tax matters PAN India and be capable of communicating with senior stakeholders both internally and externally. Preferably having experience in the Manufacturing Industry.
