Job Description:
Duties & Responsibilities: 
?Leadership responsibility including personnel management, performance reviews and daily 
Infrastructure operations oversight. 
?Leverages best practices approach towards projects, implementations, and issue resolutions; 
 
ability to provide status updates and reports. 
 
?Responsible for all server operating systems, security, and management tools. 
?Perform server builds in both physical and virtual hosting environments. 
?Responsible for SAN, VMware, Linux and Linux like OS, as well as other hosting technology. 
?Create, maintain, and manage server operating systemsWill execute and manage routine 
maintenance including OS upgrades, patching and risk mitigation in a timely manner. 
?Work with other IT teams, R&D and business users to support and manage server incidents 
 
 
 
and performance issues. 
?Maintain documentation for all hosting environments. 
?Provide advanced technical support for escalated issues and work with vendors to resolve 
more complex issues. 
?Respond to Incident Management to identify root causes and strategic solutions to recurring 
problems. 
?Research and recommend new technologies, enhancements and configuration changes to 
improve hosting performance and efficiency. 
?Develop relationships and periodically meet with R&D, Enterprise Software and Business users 
to gain insight on requirements, needs and experience. 
?Ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability. 
?There may be a requirement to work outside normal office hours to undertake routine 
maintenance or resolve problems. 
?Takes responsibility for the documentation and execution of large-scale projects, actively 
participating in all phases of the project. Identifies, assesses and manages risks to the success 
of the project. 
?Effectively estimates timescales and resource requirements for the successful delivery of the 
project(s) to agreed terms of reference. 
?Can clearly articulate complex technical solutions in simple business terms. 
?Depth in understanding of multiple technologies and technical platforms 
?Strong analytical aptitude; quickly understands new technologies and how they work. 
?Security: Stay abreast of company policies and industry best practices. 
 
Job Requirements: 
 
The duties and responsibilities described above are the essential functions of the job. The 
qualifications below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required. 
?Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science preferred or relevant experience in an Enterprise 
environment. 
?A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in server support roles in a Windows environment, with 
at least 5 years' experience as a server engineer/architect. 
?In depth knowledge of SCCM, Microsoft Deployment Technology (MDT/OSD), Windows Desktop 
Operating Systems (Win7/8/10). 
?Proficiency with scripting languages (PowerShell, JavaScript, etc.) or .NET programming 
language. 
?Experience with Windows Active Directory and Group Policies. 
?Experience with endpoint encryption and anti-virus. 
 
 
 
?Experience with Virtualization: VMWare, Citrix XenDesktop and XenApp 
?Security: Familiarity with CIS, NIST, and Data Privacy laws. 
?Experience managing Apple Devices via Jamf Pro / Casper Suite a plus 
?Experience with Office365 platform (Skype For Business, Office 2016, SharePoint, OneDrive) 
Exchange Powershell, a plus. 
?Working knowledge with TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and SMTP. 
?Monitoring Tools: LogicMonitor, Nexthink experience a plus. 
?Windows and ITIL Certifications are preferred.
