General Manager - Terminal Operations

Job Description:

Mandatory skills :

Mandate 1

• Must be responsible for Managing overall terminal operations, maintenance, EHS, Security and overall Customer satisfaction related to Terminal performance.
• Must be well versed with formulating Budget for Terminal and managing the overall performance while delivering value to the Company.
• Must have very good Liasoining skills to communicate with various Government departments and also other agencies as well as should be fully aware of required Compliances and ensuring Terminal is fully compliant with all norms.

Mandate 2

• Good knowledge of ISO 9001,14001 & 45001
• Good knowledge of storage & handling of Bulk Liquid Products, Hazardous & Non Hazardous Chemicals, Petrochemicals, Petroleum Products, oils, etc.

Mandate 3

• Good knowledge of Fabrication, Installation and Commissioning of Projects for Storage tanks, pipelines, Instrumentations, etc.

Relevant Experience :

1. Should have Leadership qualities for managing overall Bulk Liquid Storage terminal operations, maintenance, EHS, Security and overall Customer satisfaction related to Terminal performance.
2. Good knowledge of storage & handling of Bulk Liquid Products, Hazardous & Non Hazardous Chemicals, Petrochemicals, Petroleum Products, oils, etc.
3. Coordination & Liasoining with various agencies like vessel agents, customs, port, pollution control board, factory inspectors, PESO and Chief Controller of Explosives.
4. Should have good knowledge of Port Operations like vessel receiving, vessel loading, port safety, Port Tariff, Port Policies, Customs Rules and Regulations etc. for Bulk Liquid hazardous cargo.
4. Should have very good and updated knowledge of all the Compliance requirements for running a Liquid Storage Terminal for Hazardous Chemicals and Petroleum products. Should be fully responsible for maintaining all compliance licenses, permissions, consents, etc. for the Terminal.
5. Should have very good Liasoining & Convincing skills to communicate with various Government departments and also other agencies.
6. Should have very good knowledge of Maintenance requirements of the Liquid Storage Terminal and optimal use of all machineries, equipment, etc. to enhance their life.
7. Must be well versed with formulating Budget for Terminal and managing the overall performance while delivering value to the Company.
8. Good knowledge of Fabrication, Installation and Commissioning of Projects for Storage tanks, pipelines, etc.
9. Should have effective leadership skills in administration, people management, Strong Communication & presentation skills.
10. Good knowledge & experience of ISO 9001,14001 & 45001
11. Must have Analytical & planning skills and problem solving attitude.
12. Should have good knowledge of best industry practices on Environment, occupational health & safety and security.
13. Should be responsible for Quality in Operations and Services towards the clients to ensure highest levels of Customer satisfaction.
14. Should be well aware of new technologies being introduced in this industry, new equipment and solutions being invented to enhance operations safety and improve operations quality.
15. Should ensure to maintain Terminal operations within defined budgets while not compromising on any Safety or Quality aspects.
16. Should ensure terminal staff is properly trained and participate in continuous learning courses.
11. He should have fairly good HR & Recruitment skills as well to ensure that he has his full required team with him and ensuring proper interviewing skills.
