Linux Team Lead (4+ Year) - Gurgaon

1. MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

Key responsibilities / accountability

• This position is part of the support & implementation team responsible for delivery and support (onsite and offsite) to the customer during and after project implementation. The role demands good understanding of the Issues/Problem being faced by the customer during and after project implementation, with the ability to categorize the problem based on the analysis done, problem rectification and escalation. The position will also be a Single point of Contact for customers and partners.

2. CORE CAPABILITIES

• Understanding of  Enterprise NMS/EMS/SCADA management solutions
• Capability to understand the problems/issues being faced by the customer or implementation team.
• Should be capable in categorizing the Issue based on the inputs provided, thus rectification and helping in assign the issue to team responsible.
• Should be capable of handling the customer with proficiency.
• Review Team members, Workloads, and Schedules.
• Documentations of In-House or Site projects.
• Co-ordination with Project Manager for timely Delivery and Support.

3. TECHNICAL SKILLS

• Understanding of Linux & Windows operating system.
• Understanding of Networking.
• Understanding of TCP, UDP, IP, SNMP.
• Understanding of Operating system installation, configuration, troubleshooting.
• Understanding of Linux Shell and Program Configuration/Compilation.
• Hands-on experience in implementation/support activities.

4. OTHER SKILLS

• Good Communication & Presentation Skills.
• Documentation/Writing Skills.
• Should have logical understanding towards problem.
• Should be able to work with a Team.
• Resource management and inventory management.
• Self-motivated and also should be able to motivate team members.
• Ability to work independently on small assignments/projects.

5. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Education

B.E or Equivalent degree in IT/Communications/Computer Science

Work experience

4-6 years

Language

Linux, Shell Scripting, Server Administration, C/C++, Documentation.
