Job Description:
Designation: Purchase Assistant
Education: Any Graduate
Job Profile:
• Obtain quotations from vendors / suppliers for procurements requirements and recommend for rate contracts for fast moving items
• Conduct and manage bidding and negotiations process and recommend awards of contracts to vendors and suppliers
• Prepare Purchase Order in SAP system and process the sourcing activities
• Responsible for ensuring compliance with all purchase related documentation for specialized equipment/products as per the guidelines laid down by the department
• Continuously explore and identify Vendors / Contractors who can meet requirements for frequently required materials and services and meet pre-defined evaluation parameters on cost, supply reliability and quality
• Conduct quality checks for vendor operations to ensure adherence to SLA terms and conditions; highlight any discrepancies and suggest remedial measures to address the same
• Regularly update the Management with data on procurement related activities in SAP
• Responsible for preparing purchase department reports pertaining to ISO and TS certification as per specified schedule
