Senior Embedded Hardware R& D Engineer

Job Description:

Job Summary: Part of Electrical Hardware and R&D Team. Candidate will be involved in research and development for off board AC and DC Chargers and would be responsible for designing, developing, troubleshooting, debugging and maintaining large and efficient embedded systems.

Skills/ Requirements:

• Experience in design and development of embedded systems based on 32 bit microcontrollers like ARM Cortex, STM 32 etc.
• Hands-on technical experience in hardware design and development, schematic design, board design, digital and analog electronics
• Hands-on experience in Electronics and Embedded hardware design and development
• Exposure in ARM architecture
• Deep understanding of hardware-software integrations and working
• Basic knowledge and understanding of development of firmware, mainly in C and C++, for ARM Cortex-M based MCUs.
• Familiar with hardware development for protocols like Ethernet, CAN, I2C, Use of protocols like TCP/IP, SNTP, MQTT, and Real-Time Operating Systems like FreeRTOS.
• Good to have understanding and experience of PCB design Softwares like Fusion 360, Autodesk Eagle, Solidworks PCB, Altium Designer or other related softwares.
• Good to have knowledge of ISO15118, DIN70121.
• Enthusiastic about working in R&D and excited to learn more in order to develop EV chargers.

Responsibilities:

• Take responsibility for the design and overall quality of the hardware and provide leadership and guidance for junior engineers.
• Uphold hardware design standards and methodologies.
• Realization of complex system requirements to provide robust and reliable hardware solutions.
• Responsibility for the complete implementation of detailed technical items and an understanding/appreciation of system level items.
• Collaboration with other team members (including both hardware and software engineers) to agree system designs, interfaces and protocols, etc.
