Technology Project Manager

Job Description:

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Technical responsibility for successful execution of projects for developing Smart products, IoT platform and IoT solutions; such projects/products include fully developed commercial products, minimum viable products, rapid prototypes, and proof-of-concepts/values.
• Provide technical leadership to address the complete Smart products and IoT solutions technology stack:
  • Hardware/Device layer including selection and interface development co-ordination.
  • • Device firmware connection, SDK development
    • Connectivity layer: hardware &firmware; hardware &network; hardware &database
    • Platform and solution design-development-deployment
    • Cloud server-side architecture
    • Data ingestion, analytics, and visualization
    • Web-mobile app development in open source and Microsoft technologies.
    • Support the OS technology teams with testing, validation, sustaining, value engineering, and DevOps required for these Smart Products & IoT solutions.
    • Maintain and monitor the team’s capacity levels and resource needs. Utilize performance metrics for all areas of direct responsibility to maintain alignment of team performance and company goals.

     

  • Qualifications and Experience:

    • 7+ years of experience in platform/product/solution development, and/or project management including 3+ years of experience in the platform, smart solutions, data driven UI in IoT area.
    • Experience in collaborating with global technology teams is a plus.
    • Deep technical knowledge in one or more areas: embedded hardware and software, connectivity, cloud architecture, visualization tools & techniques, data analytics, and other IoT technical areas.
    • Proven track records of developing innovative IoT solutions.
    • Industry recognized technical leader with large professional network is a big plus.
    • Good to have experience in evaluating, selecting, negotiating, and working with IoT hardware vendors / third party service providers is necessary.
    • Required knowledge and experience of Azure, AWS Infrastructure; Platform as a Service and Solution as a Service tools experience will be preferred.
    • Good to have experience in SAFe, DevOps, Service Now, AR/VR/MR, Chatbot and other trending technologies.

• Must be able to provide leadership to technology team while managing multiple tasks and responsibilities, including sales team coordination, proposal walkthrough, client communication and other project manager activities.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for interactions with technology team members, stakeholders, company leadership, vendors, and customers.
• Having the courage and confidence to lay out a technical vision and provide strategic guidance to leadership and being able to back up such conviction with relevant data and strong technical understanding.

Education:

• Tech/B.E. in Electronics or Computers’ preference will be M. Techin Electronics or Computers.

  Position Summary:

  Optimized Solution (OS) is currently seeking a Project Manager to development and manage IoT platform, IoT application and other technology projects. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing the design and rapid development of Smart products and IoT solutions, from the device up through cloud architecture and apps. This individual must be well-versed in the latest technologies in this space and be capable of applying them to develop innovative solutions that provide differentiated value to OS customers. The individual must be a natural leader with the ability and drive required to direct the team in completing projects that meet or exceed customer expectations and delivery time frames.
