Job Description:

CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

JOB SCOPE As the CFO, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, managing and running of all the financial activities of the company, including business planning, budgeting, forecasting and negotiations. This exciting role is an integral member of the Executive Team with responsibility to shape the strategic and long-term financial direction of the business.

o Should be adept at raising funds from different financial institutions - project financing, financial structuring, taxation, working capital management, and other financing structures
o Should have demonstrated growing business from scratch to scale
o Should have knowledge of banking ecosystem and have excellent networking with financial institutions (Senior Leadership)
o Should have hands on experience of building a high-performance finance & accounts team with digital first mindset
o Should have demonstrated track record of assessing different risks and adept at putting together risk mitigation & management strategies proactively
o Assess and evaluate financial performance of organization with regard to long-term operational goals, budgets and forecasts.
o Provide insight and recommendations to both short-term and long-term growth plan of organization.
o Create and establish yearly financial objectives that align with the company’s plan for
o Prepare and present monthly financial budgeting reports
o Review and analyze monthly financial results and provide recommendations.
o Identify, develop and execute analysis of business initiatives, product launches and/or new service offerings.
o Supervise the accounting department to ensure the proper functioning of all systems, databases and financial software. Provide regular maintenance and backup of all accounting systems and supervise company financial staff.
o Review and ensure application of appropriate internal controls, compliance and financial procedures.
o Explore new investment opportunities, external funding initiatives and provide recommendations on potential returns and risks.
o Maintain outstanding banking relationships and strategic alliances with vendors and business partners.
o Utilize forward-looking models and activity-based analyses to provide financial insight into the organization’s plans and operating budgets.
o Represent company to banks, financial partners, institutions, investors, public auditors and officials.
o Mentor and develop a team of senior managers and/or directors, managing work allocation, systems training, performance evaluations, and the building of an effective and efficient team dynamic.

Position Requirements

o Total experience 20+ years with minimum 4 years of experience at least as a full time CFO in reputed organization.
o Should have handled fund raise of around Rs 100 – 500 cr (single transaction) and should be adept in raising funds from different financial institutions
o IPO experience would be value add
o Should have managed top line of at least around Rs 500 – 1000 cr organization
o Exposure to the fintech, management consulting, real estate or allied industry would be an advantage.
o Education Background - CA / MBA Finance
o Experience of managing finance and accounts for a startup would be added advantage.
