Job Description:

01 To identify and assess Hazards, Risk and control measures for a specific operation and process.

 

02) Ongoing review of operations and process to identify potential hazards, Risk & control measures that should be implemented to reduce these risks.

 

03) Provide OSHA (Occupational Safety & Health) training periodically to all the factory employees and corporate employees.

 

04) Prepare & implement Site Emergency Plan & Ensure that Health, Safety & Environmental policies are followed.

 

05) Investigate workplace accidents and injuries and refer them to the proper authorities.

 

06) Compliance and implement safety requirement as per the Factory Act-1948

 

07) Responsible for safety related documentation and record keeping.

 

08) Ensure all the safety equipment’s are in working conditions at all the factory and periodically conduct mock drill.

 

09) To suggest top management for various risk involved at factory and take corrective actions.

 

10) Ensure that all the employees and worker comply with all the safety rules and regulations framed for are of operations.

 

11) To carry out plant safety inspections in order to observe the physical condition of work, work practices and procedures followed by employees and to render advice on measures to be adopted to remove the unsafe conditions and to prevent unsafe actions.

12) Responsible to obtain consents (establish and operate) from pollution control committee and other NOCs/ clearances/ Licenses from Explosives department & fire Department.

13) To conduct / organize safety committee meeting periodically and ensure execution of the activities discussed in the safety committee meet on the target date.

14) Develop & contribute to health & safety associated strategies, management plans and safety manuals, SOPs. Advice, plan, organize & manage safety programs while developing & enforcing various EHS schemes, Safety promotional activities & procedures.

15) Prepare and implementation of job safety analysis / work evaluation sheets.

16) To prepare monthly reports for HSE.

17) Develop and implement corporate driven programs for LOTO modules, machine guarding, vehicle safety, confined space, working at heights.

18)To investigate near miss incident & accident & to Check and Evaluate the Effectiveness of action taken or proposed to be taken to prevent personal injuries.

19) To conduct / organize firefighting training, safety refresher training on various subjects & safety motivational activity to improve safety awareness among employees & make the workplace safest in all sense.

20) To lead mock drills at regular intervals to test on site emergency plan and updating it as per the recommendations mentioned in the Mock -Drill Report.

21) Ensure PPEs availability at plant site and compliance to safety rules and regulations.
