Job Description:
A Mining Sales Manager is responsible for developing sales strategies, achieving sales targets, and managing customer and partner relationships within the mining industry. Key duties include leading sales teams, creating sales forecasts, negotiating contracts, and providing technical sales support for products and services. The role requires strong technical understanding, excellent negotiation skills, and a proven ability to develop B2B relationships. 
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Sales strategy and execution: Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed targets for mining equipment, products, or services.
  • Team leadership: Train, guide, and lead sales teams to improve productivity and achieve company goals.
  • Customer and partner management: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, OEMs, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Market analysis: Track market trends, competitor activities, and identify new business opportunities to increase market share.
  • Sales forecasting and reporting: Provide regular sales forecasts and performance reports to management, maintaining accurate CRM records.
  • Sales support: Coordinate with technical and marketing teams, provide commercial support during tender activities, and manage proposals and contract negotiations.
  • Client engagement: Conduct on-site visits, deliver sales presentations, and provide technical support and product demonstrations to key decision-makers. 
 
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Proven experience in sales, preferably in the industrial or mining sector.
  • A strong technical understanding of industrial machinery, engineering, or related solutions.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Strong relationship management and consultative selling abilities.
  • A proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Ability to travel extensively to mine sites and client locations.
