Vendor Management, Project Management, Good Communication and Presentation skills
Trainings / Certifications: CCNA /CCNP-Routing & Switching; CCNA- Security

Job Purpose:
Member of Network team responsible for Network and Security administration.
This is a key position as it involves management of entire CCIL IFSC Data centres and
production support of critical applications working from DCs. Along with Daily Operation
candidate must involve in new projects/requirements related to network and security from
design phase, procurement, implementation. Candidate should be prepared to stretch and
extend beyond normal working hours/days as ‘call of duty’.
Key responsibilities:
1) Maintain 100% uptime of CCIL IFSC DC; WAN and LAN network.
2) Manage entire Network and Security infrastructure of CCIL IFSC Data Centre as well as
LAN.
3) Support BCP drills.
4) Defining network and security policies, procedures and RARTP’s.
5) Handling all Internal as well as external audit for processes related to Network and
Security infrastructure.
6) Closure of VA/PT related observation to Network and Security devices.
7) Capacity management of network and Security devices.
8) Review the change management for any new requirement or changes in existing
network and Security infrastructure.
9) Vendor management.
10) Designing and upgrading the Network and Security infrastructure of CCIL IFSC. This
includes understanding current capacity of devices installed in CCIL IFSC, discussions
with application teams for any future requirements. Based on the inputs received
initiate discussion with System Integrators / OEM related to sizing of devices, finalizing
the devices / services, which needs to be procured and provide technical inputs
required to higher management.
11) Handle the entire Procurement process towards purchase of devices for projects
related to network. These involve Solution finalisation, Preparation of RFP, co-
ordination/ negotiation with vendors and OEM’s, Purchase Order to vendors.
Area of Operations Key Responsibility
Network 1) Maintaining and administering CCIL IFSC Data Centres, SDWAN
and LAN network.
2) Install, upgrade, configure and troubleshoot network devices
such as routers, switches etc.
3) Hands on knowledge of Cisco ISR Routers, CAT/Nexus Switches
etc. Strong understanding of protocols such TCP/IP, HSRP, OSPF,
BGP, SDWAN etc.
4) Maximize network performance by monitoring performance,
troubleshooting network problems and outages, scheduling
upgrades.
5) Proactive in identifying, investigating and resolving technical
incidents and problems and restoring of services.
6) Diagnosing and troubleshooting network (WAN and LAN) and
service issues, following them through to resolution.
7) Inventory management.
8) Work within established configuration and change management
policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes
made to the network infrastructure
9) Preparing monthly / quarterly reports, processing payments to
vendors, budgets for expenditure etc.
Network Security 1) Maintaining and administering CCIL IFSC Security Infrastructure.
2) Install, upgrade, configure and troubleshoot network security
devices such as Firewalls, DNS, Proxy etc.
3) Hands on knowledge of Cisco NextGen Firewall, Cisco Proxy.
Strong understanding of VPN technologies eg. S2S and
AnyConnect VPN.
4) Optimise existing firewall rule base by carrying out periodic
reviews.
5) Periodic review of IPS signatures in detect mode.
6) Periodic review of access given and profiles created for web
access.
7) Understand requirements of network security and contribute in
adherence of network policies and procedure as laid out by
organization.
8) Analyse security incidents/events to determine their root cause.
9) Train fellow employees in security awareness and procedures.
