Senior Accountant - Accounting & Assurance (A&A)

Position Overview:
We are one of the largest independent CPA and business advisory firms in Northern New England. Our office in India is seeking a Senior Assurance Accountant who will perform the day-to- day field work tasks on accounting and auditing engagements.

What you’ll do:
• Works on various audit, review, compilation or accounting procedures under direct supervision.
• Documents understanding of accounting systems and transaction flows, reviews and tests internal controls.
• Compiles all necessary data and paper files and supplies to support fieldwork.
• Learns internal organization of the Firm for flow of work and the people responsible for various administrative and professional functions.
• Understands key elements of client care and service.
• Prepares financial statements.
• Prepares and reconciles account schedules as required.
• Communicates with clients regarding information needed or clarification of issues.
• Actively pursue CA or CPA certification.

Preferred Skills, Experience and Education:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• 1-5 years of public accounting experience
• Proficient in the use of computers, accounting software and tax software programs
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to perform under time pressures and meet deadlines
• Strong work ethic, honest and ethical
