Job Description:

Position: Plant Engineer

Experience: 10+ years

Notice: Immediate to 30 days

Location: Kenya (East Africa) (Onsite)

KEY DELIVERABLES FOR THIS POSITION

• Deliver & maintain EHS and regulatory standards
• Achieve Quality targets
• Ensure equipment availability and operational efficiency of 90 to 95 % to achieve on time delivery of products to customers
• Achieve Cost targets in cost of production and repairs & maintenance, & outsourcing the spares on Economical basis, via direct Mfrs & right source.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Implement procedures and processes to ensure compliance of the Integrated Management System
• (Quality, EMS, OHS) and regulatory standards.
• Ensure availability of Production Machineries of Beverage line to achieve the efficiency of 90 to 95%
• Developing and managing Quick change over principles (SMED) during the product change over time, ensuring engineering standards and procedures to effectively utilize equipment and materials to maximize production and maintain product quality.
• Develop, Implement & Manage the Total Preventive Maintenance plan.
• Monitoring production cost by proper utilization of resources in the plant and budgetary control.
• Contributing to successful product development by confirming specifications for new mould, dyes and tooling.
• Performing engineering analysis and ensuring lowest machine energy and spares consumption reported to ensure corrective action is taken to achieve overall objectives.
• Providing technical input during sourcing and procurement of spares and machinery & vendor development
• Managing the organization’s communication to the department.
• Reporting department performance accurately and on time
• Responsible talent management in the department including coaching, mentoring, developing,
• motivating, training and evaluating staff to achieve highest levels of performance
• Benchmarking and implementing best practices in Product change over, stabilize the start up.
• Implementing product quality, customer & Service Excellence and Change initiatives to achieve desired business plans and culture.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

• • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Beverage Experience 7 to 10 years in maintenance.
  • Hands on experience in Beverage machinery and utilities.
  • Root cause analysis and troubleshooting skills.
  • Exp in Documentation and implementation of the systems.
  • People management and Training skills.
  • Very Good and strong practical knowledge on the operations of the Blow molding machine of SMI make or similar to a Rotary blow molding machine of 6 or higher cavity.
  • Good knowledge on operation, Maintenance of Filler, Labelling, Shrink packing machineries.
  • Good operation knowledge on utility machineries like Water chillers, Air compressors & pumps.
