We are having an urgent opening for the position of Server Engineer for a reputed company at the Navi Mumbai(Juinagar) location.
Job Summary
The Senior Systems & Cloud Engineer will work with leadership teams to provide technical vision, design, and implementation of cloud-based solutions and services. We are looking for innovators who are as committed to shaping the future of the company.
Responsibilities:
- Exhibits comprehensive knowledge of server, storage, and networking technologies
- Develops, implements, and supports a variety of infrastructure platform technologies
- Maintain an excellent working relationship with 3rd Party vendors
- Aid in the design, strategy, and solutioning of
- Implement strategies to increase reliability and decrease the cost of technologies
- Implement processes for internal operational effectiveness and continuous improvement
- Ensure data confidentiality, integrity, and availability
- Provide technical guidance to service partners as needed
- Implement processes for internal operational effectiveness and continuous improvement
- Assist with communication of process changes, enhancements, and modifications so solutions are understood
- Work closely with development and security teams to identify gaps and implement solutions to drive improvements in reliability, security, performance, and availability
- Performs specialized assignments; leads others to solve complex problems and develop non-traditional solutions
- Works independently; may require guidance in highly complex situations
- Supports others to solve complex problems
- Identifies innovative solutions through sophisticated analytical thinking
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of design and architecture experience with VMWare vCenter Server and ESXi virtualization technology
- Extensive experience with all aspects of server hardware and related internal and external storage hardware (RAID, Fibre Channel, etc).
- In-depth functional knowledge of varying versions of Microsoft & Linux operating systems
- Experience with supporting PaaS, and IaaS solutions in Azure
- Experience with migrating on-premises applications to the cloud is a plus
- Experience with Cisco UCS is a plus
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory in a multi-domain environment
- Experience with PowerShell and PowerCLI
- Knowledge of application resource & performance management utilities such as Turbonomics and Dynatrace is a plus
- Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills
- Strong technical background and ability to work with engineers, developers, and other key stakeholders
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field preferred
- 5+ years of previous experience in a similar role is preferred
- VMWare and/or Cloud-related certificates are preferred
