DESIGN DETAILER (DRAFTSMAN)--Tekla steel structure software

Job Description:

Applicants should have exposure/competence in the following:

• Experience in detailing in Tekla Structure software for PEB structures.
• Able to handle the design team (4-5 people)important issue to bring to his in-charge on timely basis – considering time, cost& Workmanship as an important parameter.
• Work to be carried out by company employee as well as contracted workers – need to have foresight to hire them suitably as per requirement.
• Leadership skills to guide the team working under him.
• Proven track record in recruitment, training, working with and growing teams to solve specific challenges and accomplish task.
• Should be self-confident with analytical mind who believes in perfection.
• Candidate should be able to follow schedule and make plan to achieve the timeline & complete the project on time.
• Hardworking nature.

• A minimum of 5-10 years of experience with at least 5years’ experience on similar position; preferably from PEB industry.
• Diploma or Degree in Civil/Mechanical Engineering.
• Candidate should have good knowledge in AutoCAD & certificate for the same.
• Candidate should have excellent knowledge in Tekla steel structure software.

• Joining period – 30 to 60 days from final confirmation.

Desired Profile / Criteria / Skills :

Required Qualification & Work Experience:

• A minimum of 5-10 years of experience with at least 5years’ experience on similar position; preferably from PEB industry.
• Diploma or Degree in Civil/Mechanical Engineering.
• Candidate should have good knowledge in AutoCAD & certificate for the same.
• Candidate should have excellent knowledge in Tekla steel structure software.
• Age 25-35 years
• Should be able to manage whole design team and delegate the works accordingly, preparing weekly schedule & maintain the schedule including release drawing on committed time.
• He should have good knowledge in proposing alternate design, connection details & good understanding on design calculation parameters.
• Basic knowledge of Computer (Word/excel/mails).
• Candidate should have experience in dealing with consultants, architects and engineers.
• Candidate should have knowledge/aptitude for learning and training subordinates and colleagues & should devote time in understanding new things and implementing them to improve the working environment of the department and company for future growth of self and company (Like R&D, ready to upgrade yourself, learning new technologies etc.)
• He should be well versed with quality measures to put in place, excellent record keeping of released drawings, acknowledged packing list, computer back up etc.
• Africa working experience is preferable.
