Manager Contract

Job Description:

• Candidate should have a minimum of 7 -10 years of quantity surveying experience in civil contracting ( Building construction ) or consultancy organisations and Studying Contract Agreements and preparing Contracts Appreciation Documents. 
• Interpretation of Contract clauses and drafting contractual letters to Contractors in coordination with RO Head and Head Contracts. 
• Identifying opportunities for Change of Scope, Extension of Time (EOT) and compiling all documents for substantiation of claims to Contractors. 
• Delay analysis and notifying the Contractors on delays & defaults. 
• Maintain documentation and record of all the incoming and outgoing correspondence with Contractors and other local government authorities. 
• Ensure that all contractual responses to Contractors are issued/notified within seven days’ time period. 
• Assist Head Contracts and HO Head in handling any contractual issues, including litigation and arbitration. 
• Communicate and present information related to the project contracts to the HOD. 
• Interact with Project Managers and Site Engineers to obtain timely information/in puts on the performance of Contractors, project progress and incidents to draft suitable contractual responses. 

• Should have a thorough theoretical and practical/field knowledge of civil construction activities like RCC, finishing, interior, infrastructure& etc. work for building work, structural steel work, architectural and finishing items, plumbing and sanitary items, aluminium section work, etc. 
• Should be able to work with various design disciplines like structural engineers, architects, etc. and should be able to independently prepare an accurate quantity take-off (BOQ bill of quantities). Quantity take-off must be supported by measurement sheets and hand sketches. 
• Should be proficient in spreadsheet / Microsoft excel functions. Should have a good proficiency in reviewing and taking measurements/dimensions from AutoCAD drawing files. 
• Should be able to prepare rate analysis for civil construction items as per Market/CPWD/DSR format. 
• Should be experienced in preparing, checking and certifying civil construction running and final bills. 
• Should be experienced with reconciliation of cement, steel and other free supply material. 
• Should be able to take off accurate quantities from construction / GFC drawings. 
• Should have strong knowledge of various thumb rules and ratios for civil construction items such as cement consumption, reinforcement consumption, etc. 
• Should be highly meticulous and thorough in his work
