Manager - Instrumentation & Control
Job Description:
Material Selection, Fault finding, troubleshooting, installation & commissioning of Process control systems, Field Instruments, PLC etc. Installation and commissioning of same on actual machine and testing of field components.
Maintenance of PLC systems for Temperature / flow / pressure controls of AHU (Air Handling Unit).
Handle breakdowns of PLC controlled manufacturing machines.
Modification of control system of machine for better productivity and efficient /safe operation.
Development of automation, instrumentation and Electrical for new project / machines.
Technical Documentation and qualification / validation of Process control systems.
Design and engineering in the areas of control systems and instrumentation loop drawings, panel specifications, PLC programming, instrument specifications as per ISA.
Qualification & validation of Computerized & process control system.
To ensure maximum availability of equipment and machinery for production by effective management of break downs resulting into least possible downtime.
Planning and executing calibration for instrument as per schedule.
Procurement & management of required spare parts. Maintaining optimum spare parts stock level.
Plan and execute small capital projects, Co-ordinate with project engineering and technical purchase for capital procurement.
Ensure compliance with EHS/GMP/Statutory requirements.
Ensure good workmanship and productivity from contractors and technicians
Ensure safe working procedure & instructions followed by contractors / technicians in plants.
Carrying out any other assignments or projects as per the instruction of the Dept Head to meet with the organizational objectives and priorities
Designing & conceptualizing, preparing budgets, proposal & execution of the proposal related to instrumentation / automation requirement for all modification / new projects in the plant
Identifying and correcting unsafe conditions or behaviors and promptly reporting other potentially hazardous situations.
