Sr. Production Engineer

Job Description:

1) Identifying and allocating material needed after approval of work order. Raising request
for material requirement if unavailable.
2) Planning of production along with material allocation for CNC and conventional
machines in advance to avoid downtime or idle time. Find root cause for any deviation in
the same.
3) Supervising worker efficiency and working on ways to improve work ethic amongst staff
and increasing their efficiency. Finding root cause for low efficiency and finding a
solution for the same.
4) Improving productivity of existing machines by working on tooling, cycle time, etc.
5) Should be well versed with CNC and VMC programming.
6) Know how of making jigs and fixtures for typical components.
7) Vendor development and management.
8) Labor management to avoid wastage of manpower.
9) Should be able to operate Laser Marking machine in a safe manner.
10) Maintaining shop floor cleanliness and safety.
11) Maintaining necessary documentation.
12) Basic knowledge of design software such as NX, Solidworks and AutoCAD.
13) Maintaining necessary documentation as per QAP.
14) Troubleshooting wherever necessary.
15) Ensuring smooth flow of material from incoming to dispatch and expedite whenever
necessary.
16) Coordinating with Design and Quality department from time to time for smooth
functioning of the facility.
17) Planning maintenance of machines in a manner to have minimum impact on production.
18) Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, space
requirements, and equipment layout.
19) Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor,
and material costs; reviewing production schedules.
20) Should be able to carry out troubleshooting of all sorts of problems related to production.
21) Should be able to expedite shipments when needed.
