Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY

Planning Manager to undertake total responsibility for the new developments and production function of the organization as per requirements received from customers. To maintain the production resources of the company. To lead the production team to achieve the set targets in time bound manner. To keep the performance of the production function at par with the industry. To drive quality management systems in the functional area effectively. To strive for the cost reductions on day to day basis.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES of Planning Manager :

Planning

• Production planning
• Resource Planning (Man, Machine, Materials)
• Determine production requirements based on plant capacity and production specifications. 
• Plan workflow and schedules for production departments.

Execution

• Production execution
• Co-ordination between shift supervisors 
• Oversee production processes
• Selection of purchasing materials required for production
• Machine Equipment Installation commissioning of machines

Monitoring 

• Monitor, Measure Report on Manufacturing Plans Achievements within Agreed Formats Timescales.
• Cross Audits of inter Dept. for safety & quality.

Improvements

• Evaluate current production processes and recommend improvements.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Required Qualifications of the Planning Manager

• Expert in CNC machining techniques with sound experience on the shop floor for more than 10 years for BE Mech and 15 years for Diploma Mechanical in mid-sized (10-30 machines) organization. 
• Min. 5 years of experience as a machining in charge.
• Understand engineering drawings and can device a manufacturing plan, and control plan based on drawings. 
• Should have good planning and reporting skills.
• Should be a good man manager.
• Should have expertise in preparing all the documentation of the production function.
• Should ably lead a team and maintain a healthy environment on the shop floor. 
• Should generate need-based resource requirements.

Preferred Qualifications of the Planning Manager

•  Use of Auto-CAD, 3D software, and CAD-CAM software.
• Equipment commissioning & Erection.
• Six Sigma

Education of the Planning Manager

•  BE Mechanical with 10 years of experience.
• Diploma in Mechanical with 15 years’ experience.
• Good Oral / written English Communication
