Sourcing Engineer

Job Description:

Academic Requirements:

• A completed graduate degree in engineering (Mechanical/Electronics/Robotics/Mechatronics/Electrical) is preferred.
• A completed post graduate degree related to Materials Management / Supply Chain Management is preferred.

 Work Experience:

• 1-4 years (Procurement related).

 Required Skills:

• Post-graduation in Supply Chain Management, in PGDSCM.
• Work experience:
• Good knowledge of Sourcing and quality check processes. 
• Extensive knowledge of mechanics of materials and material properties
• Good negotiation skills
• Proficiency in SAP
• Willing to make long term commitment (3 years)
• Well acquainted with Ecommerce channels such as Ebay, Amazon, RobotShop etc.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

 Responsibilities:

• Co-ordinate with the project teams and arrange for procurement of required components/materials.
• Search for reliable and quality suppliers, meet with their sales representative and compare their products and prices.
• Carry out effective negotiations with suppliers, obtain extensive discounts for online purchases using ECoupons, Deals, Promotion Codes, Supplier                  communication etc.
• Develop SOPs for procurement, vendor quality inspections, material inward/outward record generation, stock maintenance, Cost control, Inventory    management.
• Be responsible for managing supplier performance in terms of quality, cost, delivery, and responsiveness.
• Ensure timely delivery of procured materials, components.
• Devise ways to eliminate waste and variability in the supply chain.
• Be responsible for stock maintenance, inventory management, eliminate stock variance.
• Preparation and timely updation of BOM
