Job titles can be an enigma these days, so let’s break it down a little! Expectations of the role are:

  • Effectively aligning a multi-disciplined team to deliver sales success through the pro-active management of opportunity and Account Growth plans
  • Maintaining accurate and timely pipeline, account, and opportunity data to support sales performance reporting to sales leadership
  • Ensuring qualification, approval and forecasting processes are understood and actively supported
  • Regularly reviewing personal progress and team progress against sales targets, KPIs and sector / growth plans with sales leadership and, as appropriate, stakeholders (incl. executive management)
  • Communicating current and emerging client requirements to Sponge Learning to inform future direction of marketing initiatives, product development & service offerings
  • Identifying sector specific strategic growth opportunities for service and product development within Sponge Learning
  • Pro-actively supporting commercialisation/cultural change within Sponge Learning

     The ideal candidate will be:

    • Commercially minded; able to confidently develop customer support for complex digital learning business cases and value propositions
    • Willing, hands on, problem solver in pursuit of commercial and learning objectives relevant to Sponge and the customer
    • Can evidence communication skills that engage and influence senior and operational stakeholders
    • Natural ability to engage and motivate colleagues and customers
    • Pro-active and energetic in pursuit of quarterly and annual sales targets
    • Ideally, familiar with formal sales methodologies – notably Challenger sales
