Job description of Design Manager:

Job Description: The job involves total handling of design department independently. The Manager is responsible of taking output from 7-10 design engineers and draftsmen.

Design:

• Designing & drafting of various plastics machinery components and system. A person is responsible of giving very fast drawing output for various kind of projects and layouts.
• A person is responsible for development of new product from scratch which involves Mechanical design, fabrication knowledge and practical shop floor training.
• Must have speed and high accuracy in dimensioning of 2D/3D drawings.
• Experience in Solid Works is preferable.
• Job also involves design optimizing for reduction in cost & standardization of components.
• Development of new product from scratch which involves Mechanical design, fabrication knowledge, Strength of material, Pneumatics and fluid mechanic calculation.
• Must have sound theoretical knowledge. Also, should be able to work directly on ACAD or Solid Works station.
• Create 5 years plan for Research & development of all the products, new product launching, up dation of technology and take a decision for scrap obsolete technology in sync with joint ventures partners.
• Bringing true Industry 4.0 culture in our machines & control

Sales:

• Guiding project sales and control flow from need to correct selection.
• Presentation and tough discussion on technology ground to high end corporate customers along with Branch head side by side.
• Sending attractive layouts along with all the offers for better clarity and presentation.
• System & product selection for all the big project to compete and win against competitor

Quality:

• Conduct weekly meetings for Design change and modification base on customer complaint & increasing quality and reliability in product.
• ISO 9000 documentation, ERP system, Manual and other documentation preparation for all projects and exports.
• Upgrade our technology by global sourcing by visiting exhibitions, customers & suppliers.

Leadership:

• Inspire team to innovate and improve constantly. Provide guidelines to design & customer support manager to Implement processes amongst team.

• Increase efficiency and output of the design department by using latest technology, tools and Automation in process.

Design change and modification base on customer complaint, ISO 9000 documentation, ERP system, Manual and other documentation preparation for all projects and exports.

Key Activities:

• Prepares design tapes for pattern generation using digitizing and CAD techniques, skills, design rules and specifications.
• Develops a variety of routine design work plans, electronic drawing files, complete layouts of electrical and mechanical parts, components, assemblies and circuity in accordance to company, industry, customer and where applicable MIL standards specification using CAD equipment.
• Digitizes, edits and revises integrated circuit drawings of components, assemblies and entire circuits.
• Prepares circuit diagrams, schematics, parts breakdown and interconnect lists from sketches, notes or instructions.
• Revises and updates existing specifications and drawings to incorporate requested design changes from engineering, manufacturing or product assurance.
• Ensures accuracy of scale, detailed calculations and changes, circuit conversion, sectional and three-dimensional views to clarify orientations, renditions, variations, and placement of features, symbols or names.
• Follows workplace operating and environmental, health and safety procedures and guidelines.
