ELEVATOR & ESCALAOTR COMMISSIONING TECHNICIAN
Job Description:
Applicants should have exposure/competence in the following:
? Detailed experience & knowledge in various aspect of elevators &
escalators; including :
1 – Commissioning of elevator & escalator,
2 - Mechanical Installation,
3 - Electrical Wiring, reading wiring diagram,
4 – Trouble shooting & repairing
? Need to know about making & setting templates at start of
installation.
? Locate malfunctions in brakes, motors, switches, and signal and
control systems, using test equipment.
? Adjust safety controls, counterweights, door mechanisms, and
components such as valves, ratchets, seals, and brake linings.
? Inspect wiring connections, control panel hookups, door installations,
and alignments and clearances of cars to ensure that equipment will
operate properly.
? Maintain proper record to keep track of necessary spares required –
to optimize spares to serve the client and to make sure not to have
excess spares in stock.
? Maintain log books that detail all repairs and checks performed and
maintain operational data.
? Should be able to handle manpower working under him and its
optimum utilization – by organizing them as a team and get work
done on time.
? Able to handle and resolve issues / complaints in a timely and
professional way.
? To train and motivate team to achieve qualitative standards while
following Health & Safety during work.
? Should be self-confident with analytical mind who believes in
perfection, and research & development.
? Hardworking nature.
Required Qualification & Work Experience:
? A minimum of 4-5 years of experience with at least 2 years’
experience on similar position. Having worked with one of the large
brands (Schindler, OTIS, ThyssenKrupp) in similar position is
mandatory.
? Diploma or Degree holder with experience.
? Experience in Generation 2 lift of OTIS is added advantage.
? Age 30-40 years
? Good knowledge of Computer (Word/excel/mails).
? Candidate should have knowledge/aptitude for learning and training
subordinates and colleagues & should devote time in understanding
new things and implementing them to improve the working
environment of the department and company for future growth of
self and company (Like R&D, ready to upgrade yourself, learning new
technologies etc.)
? He should be well versed with quality & safety measures to put in
place.
? Africa working experience is preferable.
? Joining period – 30 to 45 days from final confirmation.
