Job Description:

Summary: Procures standard goods/services from known suppliers while assisting Senior Buyers with

projects and direct ship orders.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Maintains supplier relationships
  2. Maintains regular contact with suppliers and prepares and submits purchase orders
  3. Arranges shipping of goods/services to appropriate locations
  4. Tracks orders and maintains appropriate contact with suppliers to meet on

time delivery of goods/services.

  1. Resolves shipment discrepancies for quality, quantity and on time deliver by

working with suppliers and internal stakeholders as necessary

  1. Maintains on time delivery of purchasing operations
  2. Manages inventory turnover by determining maximum and minimum

inventory levels and reorder quantities

  1. Supports internal and external customer service
  2. Understands and documents internal and external customer needs and expectations
  3. Communicates to appropriate team(s) when an expectation will not be met
  4. Contributes to the continuous improvement effort
  5. Documents processes and procedures, eliminates non-value added activities,

and participates in weekly CI team meetings

  1. Contributes to team effort
  2. Willing to attempt new assignments or fill in for others as needed;

accomplishes other duties as assigned

? High School Diploma or GED required

? Vocational or technical training preferred

? Associate’s degree or vocational or technical school degree preferred

? Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain preferred

? 3-5 professional experience as a Buyer

? Current APICS or ISM Certifications preferred.
