About the Job

Cost Estimation Engineer estimates costs for engineering projects after analysing project requirements. Collects and analyse all project costs, including raw materials, labor, equipment, INCOTERMS and tooling to ensure estimates are accurate. The role would identify and quantify potential cost uncertainties to ensure costing models collects the full range of potential costs. Candidate has to update costs as vital based on any new information or changes. Additionally, CE Engineer requires collaborate with project management, engineering, sales, and procurement departments. The duties and responsibilities of the profile is not limited to those listed below and are subject to change as per needs of the business.

About the Ideal Candidate

  • Review technical specifications & understand commercial implication.
  • After reviewing prepare suitable Techno-Commercial Quotation.
  • Include various submittals but like commercial, technical, specification sheet, scope of supply, drawing, cover letters, Etc.
  • Collaborate closely with sales, purchasing, procurement, and suppliers to ensure that all order management activities between Trelleborg and Customer are aligned.
  • Build MIS & maintain documentation
  • Responsibility also includes process design, engineering & timely addressing of all client queries.
  • Results orientated and organised with the ability to deliver against timeline
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy skills
  • Able to micro plan the allocated work.
  • Implement to company processes and standards.
  • Maintaining customer centricity and ensuring customer happiness through work.
  • Performing engineering activities, as per business requirements.
  • Moderate to strong understanding of engineering principles

Educational Qualification & Work Experience:

  • DME / BE / B.Tech / ME / M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or a similar field. With minimum 2-3 years of relevant work experience, ideally in manufacturing or engineering environment
  • Preferable knowledge of SolidWorks/ Autodesk Inventor / 3Ds MAX / FEA Simulation etc.
  • Exposure to working methodology as per ISO9001
  • Knowledge and understanding of a variety of manufacturing/automotive processes & components including ability to evaluate & analyse associated costs

And have validated and successful experience of:

  • Working across cultural boundaries.
  • Communicating effectively, both internally and externally.
  • Preferable beginner skills of 3D modelling techniques and drafting standards
  • Good engineering commercial skills
