Job Description:
Plant maintenance is the repair of equipment, replacement of equipment components and replenishing of non-throughput consumables of an asset. Normal wear-and-tear and operation excursions cause assets to require plant maintenance.Ensures that the facilitys equipment and machines are maintained properly and working correctly. Oversees the facilitys maintenance program; identifies and analyzes equipment or machinery failures and takes corrective actions. Provides technical training to management and other team members.
Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on conveyor systems and production machines
Work duties require mechanical skills, knowledge of mechanical and pneumatic systems
On plant maintenance and operation assignments inspect, test, evaluate, and maintain the operation of critical equipment and systems in order to provide a safe and reliable facility infrastructure to the research and support community
Operate Facilities Monitoring Control System (FMCS)
Utilize test and safety equipment as required to perform assigned tasks efficiently and safely
Operate, maintain, & make mechanical non-electrical repairs to low and high pressure boilers, Pneumatic actuated devices, air handlers, Vacuum systems, pressurized gas and hydronic water systems, pumps, blowers, compressors, cooling towers, and DI/RO Water Systems
Perform various preventative or corrective maintenance tasks on a wide variety of fixed and portable equipment, including but not limited to, engine driven generators, hydronics equipment hydraulics, non-electric utility services systems
In direct support of research processes, perform layout, fabrication, installation, and maintenance of highly sophisticated experimental equipment from engineering specifications, drawings, sketches, or verbal instruction
