A production manager is responsible for ensuring that the production of manufacturing products starts and finishes within budget and on time.
They plan, schedule, coordinate and organise different production schedules and activities.
The production manager ensures all products meet the required quality standards.
Selecting, ordering and purchasing materials. organising the repair and routine maintenance of production equipment.
liaising with buyers and marketing and sales staff. supervising and managing the work of junior staff.
