Job Description:

Reading & Interpreting Drawings:Accurately read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and sketches to understand project requirements and specifications.

Material Preparation:Select, prepare, and cut raw metal materials using tools like shears, power saws, and cutting torches to achieve the specified dimensions.

Assembly & Fitting:Lay out, align, and fit metal components together using clamps, bolts, and tack welding to create structural forms and assemblies.

Welding Operations:Perform various welding processes (e.g., MIG, TIG, ARC) to join metal components securely and durably.

Quality Control:Inspect finished components to ensure accuracy, adherence to specifications, and overall quality, making adjustments as needed.

Tool & Equipment Operation:Safely and effectively operate a range of hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.

Safety Compliance:Adhere to all safety regulations, wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintain a clean work area.

Repair & Maintenance:Dismantle, straighten, reassemble, and repair existing metal products and structures as required.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings.
- Tool Proficiency: Ability to use various hand and power tools, as well as different welding and cutting equipment.
- Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail to ensure precision in measurements and fittings.
- Physical Dexterity: Physical strength and dexterity for working with metal components and heavy equipment.
- Problem-Solving: Analytical and problem-solving skills to address challenges during the fabrication and assembly process.
- Communication: Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
- Education: High school diploma or GED is often required, with vocational training (e.g., ITI, Diploma) and certifications preferred.

Company Profile
The company is in midst of implementing a 0.42 Million Tonne Per Annum (MTPA) integrated steel plant to produce steel. Steel thus produced will consume 0.315 Million Tonne Sponge Iron from the proposed unit and 0.03 Million Tonne from the existing unit. Thus consuming the entire quantity of high grade sponge iron produced in its own manufacturing facilities. When iron is smelted from its ore by commercial processes, it contains more carbon, phosphorus, sulphar etc. than is desirable. To produce high quality steel, the elements must be brought to the within the desirable limits. The liquid steel is processed through AOD and VOD furnaces to achieve the desirable limits of elements. The liquid is then continuously casted into long slabs or through ingots.
