At [CompanyX], we are looking for a Plant Supervisor to oversee our production floor and ensure that our manufacturing process runs smoothly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have experience in a production or manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of quality control and production planning. They will be responsible for supervising a team of production workers, monitoring output, and ensuring that products meet our high standards of quality. They will also be responsible for troubleshooting any issues that arise during production, and for developing and implementing process improvements.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by enforcing all safety regulations
- Monitor production output and quality, making necessary adjustments to the process as needed
- Schedule and assign employee shifts, ensuring adequate coverage at all times
- Train new employees on proper safety procedures and company policies
- Investigate and resolve complaints from employees regarding working conditions or other issues
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operation of the plant
- Prepare and submit reports on production levels, employee performance, and other relevant data to upper management
- Develop and implement plans to improve efficiency and productivity
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Conduct regular maintenance on equipment and machinery
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints in a professional manner
- Perform other duties as assigned

Company Profile
The company is in midst of implementing a 0.42 Million Tonne Per Annum (MTPA) integrated steel plant to produce steel. Steel thus produced will consume 0.315 Million Tonne Sponge Iron from the proposed unit and 0.03 Million Tonne from the existing unit. Thus consuming the entire quantity of high grade sponge iron produced in its own manufacturing facilities. When iron is smelted from its ore by commercial processes, it contains more carbon, phosphorus, sulphar etc. than is desirable. To produce high quality steel, the elements must be brought to the within the desirable limits. The liquid steel is processed through AOD and VOD furnaces to achieve the desirable limits of elements. The liquid is then continuously casted into long slabs or through ingots.
