Job Title: Regional Chef - Indian Cuisine
 
Job Summary: We are seeking a talented and experienced Regional Chef specializing in Indian Cuisine to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the kitchen operations, creating and executing authentic Indian dishes, and ensuring high-quality culinary experiences for our guests. The Regional Chef will play a pivotal role in menu development, staff training, and maintaining the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and safety.
 
Responsibilities:
 
  1. Menu Development:
  • Create and update a diverse menu featuring authentic Indian dishes that cater to regional preferences.
  • Stay updated on current culinary trends and incorporate innovative elements into the menu.
  1. Kitchen Operations:
  • Oversee day-to-day kitchen activities, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to established culinary standards.
  • Monitor and maintain kitchen equipment, ensuring its proper functioning.
  1. Quality Control:
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and taste.
  • Conduct regular tastings and inspections to ensure consistency and adherence to recipes.
  1. Staff Training:
  • Provide hands-on training to kitchen staff on Indian cooking techniques, recipes, and presentation.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive working environment, promoting continuous improvement.
  1. Cost Control:
  • Manage food cost by implementing efficient portion control and inventory management.
  • Work closely with the procurement team to source high-quality ingredients at competitive prices.
  1. Hygiene and Safety:
  • Ensure strict adherence to food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections to maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  1. Customer Engagement:
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to promote special Indian cuisine events or festivals.
  • Gather and respond to customer feedback, making necessary adjustments to enhance the dining experience.
  1. Cultural Sensitivity:
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of regional Indian cuisines, accommodating diverse tastes and preferences.
 
Qualifications:
 
  • Proven experience as a Chef de Cuisine or similar role with a focus on Indian Cuisine.
  • In-depth knowledge of Indian culinary traditions, flavors, and regional variations.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with industry best practices in food safety and hygiene.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent certification is preferred.
