Job Description:

Role Summary

A senior-level accounting role responsible for end-to-end financial management, statutory compliance, and audit coordination for multiple Centres within an institutionally governed environment. The position requires strong hands-on accounting expertise, stakeholder management, and compliance orientation.


Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Financial Management

  • Maintain accurate and complete books of accounts for assigned Centres using Tally, including voucher entry and bookkeeping.

  • Prepare and own Management Accounts, Balance Sheet, and Profit & Loss statements.

  • Maintain project-wise accounts and prepare Utilisation Certificates for grants.

  • Maintain and update Asset Registers on a monthly basis.

  • Prepare revenue forecasts, cash forecasts, and Centre-level cash flow statements.

Reporting & Forecasting

  • Ensure timely preparation and reporting of Management Accounts with accurate KPI forecasts.

  • Ensure high standards of accuracy, completeness, presentation, and relevance in all financial reports.

  • Share periodic financial insights with Centre leadership and senior stakeholders.

Audit & Compliance

  • Ensure readiness and accuracy for internal and external audits.

  • Coordinate with auditors and close audit observations in a timely manner.

  • Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements including:

    • Income Tax

    • GST / Service Tax

    • FCRA

    • RBI

    • RoC

    • Donor / client-specific compliance

Statutory Filings

  • Handle statutory filings and liaison with relevant authorities.

  • Ensure timely submissions and regulatory adherence.

Stakeholder Management

  • Regular interaction with Centre Heads and senior stakeholders on financial position and compliance.

  • Work closely with internal finance and administration teams.

  • Deputise for team members when required to ensure continuity.


Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications

 CA Inter / M.Com / MBA (Finance) preferred

Experience

  • 3+ years of relevant accounting experience

  • Experience in multi-centre / project-based accounting preferred

  • Exposure to grants, donors, academic institutions, NGOs, or research organisations is an advantage

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong hands-on experience with Tally

  • Good working knowledge of statutory compliances (GST, Income Tax, FCRA, RoC)

  • Experience handling audits independently

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple Centres
