Job Description:

Context & Role: The jobholder will have the responsibility of cash management, MIS, taking care of audit requirements, accurate and timely submission of IRDA reports, and strict adherence to IRDA regulations, Investment compliance and Investment system management (Credence).

Key Responsibilities

  •  Portfolio oversight in terms of risk capacity and compliance including quarterly credit review
  •  Responsible for keeping track of economic environment and preparation of Investment committee decks and papers
  •  Responsible for day-to-day liaison with custodian.
  •  Knowledge of Investment Accounting and interaction with the Finance team
  •  Investment Reporting as required by IRDA, and various other internal / shareholder reporting
  •  Performing income and investment reconciliation on regular basis
  •  Monitoring various limits prescribed by IRDA for various investments
  •  Responsible for all audits (Internal, Statutory, Concurrent etc.)Review & Implementation of Investment policy
  •  Tracking updates from IRDA with respect to Investment operations
  •  Monitoring of price movement of all securities
  •  Exception reporting to appropriate authority
  •  Movement of securities between Approved and Other Investments and CAT code wise Investments
  •  Empanelment of brokers/intermediaries and bankers and Mutual fund AMC’s

Key Measures of Performance

  •  Timely and accurate reporting of IRDA and Management requirements
  •  Accuracy and timeliness of cash flow
  •  Strict adherence to IRDA regulations, specifically with respect to monitoring various limits
  •  Managing all audits properly as well as responsibility for implementing the various management action plans
  •  Preparation of various MIS reports for Investment committee and management.
  •  Adherence of Investment policy & guidelines
  •  Facilitate smooth flow of information and deals between Front Office and Back Office bykeeping a check on adherence to Investment Policy, regulatory requirements and best in class control and governance practices

Desired Qualification & Experience

  • CA/ CFA and/ or an MBA with a specialization in Finance from a premier institute.
  • Experience- About 4-8 years’ experience

Knowledge & Skills Required:

  •  Excellent understanding of IRDA regulations with respect to Investments
  •  Good understanding of Investment systems
  •  Knowledge of insurance regulations
  •  Knowledge of Investment systems
  •  Should have sound knowledge of accounting concepts
  •  Team and people management skills
  •  Good verbal and written communication skill
