Position Details:

• Job Title: Procurement in Charge
• Location: Tanzania
• Department: Procurement
• Reports to: Operations Manager
• Direct Reports: Procurement staff

Position Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and result-oriented Procurement in Charge to oversee the procurement of high-quality goods and materials in Tanzania. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring timely delivery at minimum cost.

Key Requirements:

• 7 years' experience in purchasing

Key Duties:

• Receive approved requisitions and dispatch LPOs as needed
• Procure proforma invoices/quotations when necessary
• Ensure products and services are as per specifications and obtained at the best prices
• Coordinate the receiving of goods and ensure quality confirmation
• Prepare GRNs and forward to accounts for payment processing
• Generate weekly reports on outstanding items and requisitions
• Follow up on delayed deliveries and consult user departments if needed
• Monitor supplier performance and recommend alternatives when necessary
• Summarize achievements in price reduction and product quality for management review
