Duties and Responsibilities

 Coordination and Supervision of the Finance Function to ensure accuracy, integrity, and
completeness of accounting records in accordance with good practice, international
accounting standards and generally accepted accounting principles.
 Providing sound financial support and insights to enable the Advent to make critical
business decisions.
 Presentation of financial results and insights to the Board
 Managing and overseeing the taxation affairs of the organization and liaising with the
external tax firm for specialist advice
 Managing and overseeing the cash flow of the company and ensuring it has the appropriate
treasury controls.
 Managing hedging and foreign currencies effectively.
 Managing the External Auditor relationship and ensuring the organization is compliant with
accounting standards.
 Managing and overseeing the company's banking and borrowing arrangements
 Managing and overseeing the company’s financial systems, proposing new systems where
necessary.
 Presenting results to non-finance people to understand how their action affect the bottom
line.
 Overseeing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Tax, Treasury, Payroll, Financial and
Management Accounting functions.
 Risk Management to ensure the business has a solid risk framework in place.
 Overseeing commercial decision-making from tender analysis, margin analysis, pricing
analysis etc.
 Advising and implementing best practice methods to increase revenue and reduce costs.
 Advising on market changes and providing strategic financial recommendations to Advent.
 Managing and tracking budget and accounting information including billing, collections,
 Any other duties assigned.
 Qualifications

o Academic

 Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field.

o Professional

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Certification

o Required Experience

 Must have minimum of 10 years or relevant experience in accounting 5 of which should
have been utilized at a senior management level.
o Relevant Skills
 Use of computers and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
 Possess expertise in relevant accounting software and applications.
 Skills in use and management of ICT
 People skills including interpersonal, management, motivating, analytical, communication,
time management, organizational and presentation skills.
 Knowledge of contract management and administration
 Must demonstrate understanding of regulatory framework and possess conceptual business
skills.
