Data Privacy Specialist

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

·         Conduct comprehensive data privacy assessments to identify and mitigate risks.

·         Develop and implement robust privacy frameworks aligned with relevant regulations (e.g., Bahrain Personal Data Protection Law(optional- good to have) , GDPR, CCPA) and industry best practices.

·         Draft and maintain clear and concise privacy policies that inform individuals about their data collection and usage.

·         Lead GDPR readiness initiatives, ensuring the organization meets all compliance requirements.

·         Monitor and enforce data privacy policies and procedures within the organization.

·         Design and deliver engaging privacy education and training programs for employees.

·         Develop and implement incident response and breach management plans to effectively address data breaches.

·         Integrate privacy by design principles into all development processes and systems.

·         Continuously improve the organization's data privacy program through regular assessments and updates.

Qualifications:

·         Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, law, information technology, or a related field.

·         Professional certifications such as Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP), Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM), or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) are highly preferred.

·         Minimum of 5 years of experience in data privacy, information security, or related fields, with a strong understanding of data protection regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, and the Bahrain Personal Data Protection Law.

·         Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

·         Proven ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.

·         Strong project management and organizational skills.
