Job Description:
As an Injection Molding Maintenance Electrician, your primary responsibility is to ensure the electrical systems and equipment associated with injection molding machines are operating efficiently. You will be tasked with performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting electrical issues, and implementing repairs to minimize downtime and optimize production processes.
Key Responsibilities:

Equipment Maintenance:
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on injection molding machines, electrical panels, and associated equipment.
- Identify and replace faulty electrical components such as sensors, relays, switches, and wiring to ensure proper functionality.

Troubleshooting:
- Respond promptly to electrical breakdowns, diagnose issues, and implement effective solutions to minimize machine downtime.
- Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to identify root causes of electrical failures and implement corrective actions.

Calibration and Testing:
- Calibrate and test electrical systems to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Conduct regular testing of safety features, emergency shutdown systems, and other critical electrical components.

Installation and Upgrades:
- Assist in the installation of new injection molding machines and electrical systems.
- Implement upgrades to existing electrical systems to enhance efficiency and comply with industry standards.

Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, replacements, and preventive maintenance schedules.
- Document electrical modifications, installations, and upgrades for future reference.

Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to create a secure working environment.
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes and regulations to meet industry standards.

Training and Collaboration:
- Provide training to machine operators and maintenance staff on basic electrical troubleshooting and safety procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address both electrical and mechanical issues affecting the overall performance of injection molding machines.
Qualifications:
- ITI in electrical is preferred.
- Proven experience as an electrician, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, motor controls, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Familiarity with injection molding machines and associated equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Understanding of safety protocols and regulations.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment.
- Comfortable working in confined spaces.
- Willingness to work in a dynamic and fast-paced manufacturing environment.
